I will be an artist-in-residence at Park in Progress, a nomadic artistic mobility and creation program for transdisciplinary projects by artists and creatives working across visual arts, music, performance, film, literature, and digital media at a European and international scale.
The 12th edition will take place in a former slaughterhouse facility, repurposed as a cultural venue in Huesca, Spain.
About “Park in Progress”:
Park in Progress was a travelling mobility program (2010-2014) which reunited young artists with cultural and creative professionals; they worked together during the different stages of artistic creation and production around a common transdisciplinary project, and connected 8 different places in France, Hungary, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Cyprus.
The first part of the mobility program was the residency. Then, after this opportunity for encounter and joint creation, the artists took over a park or green space at night to share their diverse artistic proposals with a large audience. This final event was named the “European night of young creation.”
The sites hosting works in progress were parks and gardens such as the Trocadero garden and the nymphée d’Apollon at Le Domaine national de Saint-Cloud in Paris city, the Pannonhalma arboretum, the Castle grounds and surrounding parkland of the Nottingham Castle Museum and Art Gallery, the Nicosia Municipal Gardens at the city center, the Belfry garden in Mons, gardens and empty lots in Huesca, former slaughterhouses in the cities of Mons and Huesca turned cultural centers, and other cultural venues in the cities of Luxembourg and Montreuil at the Metropolis of Greater Paris.
Park in Progress program was a series of arts residencies in European cities supported by the European Union and organized by the Pepinieres Europeennes pour Jeunes Artistes (Saint-Cloud, France) in partnership with Moving House Foundation (Budapest, Hungary), Arts Council England East Midlands / UK Young Artists (Nottingham, United Kingdom), Transcultures (Mons, Belgium), Agence Luxembourgeoise d’Action Culturelle (Luxembourg, Luxembourg), Huesca City Council (Huesca, Spain) and ARTos Cultural and Research Foundation (Nicosia, Cyprus).

Le Domaine national de Saint-Cloud in Paris is a a remarkable 460-hectare public park, national monument, and listed at the national monuments centre [centre des monuments nationaux (CMN)].
The arboretum in Pannonhalma, a 27-acre a Botanical garden formerly used by the monks at the Benedictine Archabbey and UNESCO World Heritage site.
The Nottingham Castle grounds and surrounding parkland are listed on the National Heritage List for England (NHLE).
The cultural center Antiguo Matadero is a listed building on industrial architecture in Aragon.
The exhibition space Les Anciens Abattoirs de Mons (former slaughterhouse) is a listed monuments in Wallonie.
The garden in Mons is under the Belfry, included in the UNESCO World Heritage list.
